Just got back from my granduncle's daughter's wedding (ie. 2nd aunt, jauhari's sister)

i was trying to find a picture of this pastry i ate in istanbul.. it tastes/looks like cheesy murtabak.. w/o the meat tho. mom attempted to make it today.. not too bad.. but i cant find the picture of the one i ate.. so tts as close as it looks like hehe.. anyway its simply Feta (goat) cheese with pastry.. dad hated the sourness haha.. yum





i cannttt wait till freshy year ends! I signed myself up for so many things tt i think im overbooking myself but i dont careee.. so funn! then i can finally pick up my spanish lessons.. give more tuition hence more $$ start up softball proper.. start up this cip thingy tt i hope will realyyy have an impact on the malay society ..go vietnam.. n watch world cup with pals there .. and i signed up for 2 subcomms of the travel club - exchange & events! just for fun cos i cudnt decide between the 2! the events exco just replied me.. she's damn hyper! haha n they are planning to do a REAL spoof of amazing race internally of coz.. but road blocks and all.. yay cool tt will be fun to plan.. and i signed up to facilitate accountancy orientation! altho i might well be kicked out of the double degree prog.. ah well.. i dont caree.. dont want to have to pull my hair every yr trying to convince the profs and pple who give the money tt im worth it.. n i dont have to care thatt much abt my grades. and even if they tell me to drop.. heh better.. then i have lesser modules to clear! all the stinking grades are subjective dependent on the profs anyway..

and damnn i cant wait for both my disney presentations to be overr.. im so sickkk of disney!! although i just watched aladdin n i must say.. i think i found a candidate tt will knock dimitri (from Anastasia) off the title of most dashing cartoon hero ahha.. he looks like a raul gonzalez blanco! anyway, apparently the Sultan goes 'Praise Allah' a couple of times n of coz being voiced by an american it comes off as urh-lah.. totally cringed when i heard it..

Had Brunch with my girl Qianru at the airport! havent seen her in EONS! n of all places.. the airport.. hehe.. ok ive been converted.. the airport is really fun to just chill out.. :P stop laughing all you east-ies

Anyway, had to rush off to TK to get softball equip and lug bats, balls and gloves all the way to Kallang diamond! ok fine lug with a taxi.. while we drive-throughed Macs cos Grace's junior Bong.. (yes puisan.. the same BONG we played agst in jc) wanted to get lunch ahha.. so we had our softball clinic! was a success! hurrah! abt 20newbies came down so it was just nice to play a game, split into 2.. with abt a few other experienced players helping along the side.. met a pretty cute guy haha.. he was so nice cool and collected.. too bad he only has time to play recre.. and i met hana's cousin, Nuha.. she is insanely funny! shouting and yelping like a headless chicken half the time.. and she wanted to be gu-niang today farrnyyy.. but insanely fun too haha.. great bunch of pple who came and grace was suuper excited ahha.. so funny.. too bad no fotos! May this be the first of many great things to come of SMU softball!

to round off a grrrreatt day, my blood boiled.. after a very annoying phonecall.. u know even though he was so annoying and being a shithead.. It was kinda fun to feel my blood pressure rise and i literally felt my blood boil.. its been a long time since ive let my anger out like that before.. its fun! I'm still angry with him.. but its always the person who is angry at the person who remains thinking abt it.. dont call me cliched now but he truly deserves the title of Thick/Pig headed lying through your teeth longwinded Mofo. and i dont curse often.. but I get determination from jealousy and anger so watch out.. I hope you get your just desserts

i hate how our civilization, the common way of living just HAS to conflict with Islam in just about everything.. you cant celebrate the gregarion calender new year because its got christian roots or whatever.. you cant celebrate v-day because it apparently was the mark of when the Islamic kingdom in Spain fell.. you cant do this.. you cant do that.. i hate that im put in a spot.. i hate those who have become too westernized partying like theres no tomorrow.. but i hate that it feels like I'm being choked and restricted from doing everything and having the slightest bit of fun of being young. it is impossible to find a balance. I'm not saying the religion is screwed up because its not.. its perfect! its just that the people interpreting it ARE.. thats the whole problem with muslims.. there are hardly any Muslim scholars anymore.. so many teachings have gone wrong.. astray.. and the arab world is completely screwed up.. the men are gatal.. they drink and smoke their sheeshas.. the rich only wanna have fun.. and the poor only want jihad.. so this is how it goes.. as the world continues without a leader.. the people degenerate.. its happened so many million times before.. and we're just becoming another example.. even tho a period of peace is supposed to come just before kiamat.. i want to see for myself, that period of victory, the proof as in the past that there exists a great and grand civilization which succeeds in every area of life and that Islam drives it.. and not at conflict with it as it is right now..

REAL - the movie

so the great thing was watching the shots in high definition, good quality unlike the fuzzy transmissions i get of the la liga.. but the shots were all close up so i got a headache from all of tt.. at first there were so many threads of fictitious stories but they did a good ending tt tied up all the pieces together.. a HUGEEEEE marketing strategy.. which smu shud definitely revisit for BSM :P but well.. its football and how it affects people's lives.. so i love it.. esp with all that spanish in the show.. they talked so fast i cannot tell where one word starts and another begins! could only hear the random muchacho, dos or bernabeu and perhaps even a todos lomos. heheh ahh to immerse myself in tt culture! i want more spanish movies!! even the international radio channel in sg only has japanese, german and french.. how not totally international! ill rewatch the show after i take up spanish n see if i can actually understand them! haha.. care to join me?

my shoulders ache!

all because of kayaking 12km! from kallang basin to boat quay and back..Explore de Quay! the view was fabulous! visited places that i dont normally go to and it was cool right until we died trying to kayak back.. arms were aching like crap and wouldnt have made it back w/o ouyang! :D we were so pro going forward being not only the FIRST girl pairing to be right in front but the first pairing of all.. woohoo.. but on the way back we were just so damn tired and there was this really annoying pair who kept zig-zagging into us.. bah! oohn it was sponsored by red bull and SDU so we had the new even more foul-tasting version and games/forfeits which were all abt guy-girl interaction! heez.. ouyang even got carried around a pole! hahaha

its just so quaint that my blog's theme is jealousy.. its such an intense feeling esp when combined with hate.. even watching stupid shows where the person shoots a look of jealousy makes me all riled up. but i think.. it has somehow fuelled me in the past. Theres always that desire and need for ambition and success but it always kinda flakes cos theres nothing concrete to hold the desire there.. so when jealousy rears its sometimes not so ugly head, it serves as the motivation to achieve the goal. in fact, i think its been there even since pri skl.. was so jealous and hated this aunt sooo much that i wanted to prove to her tt she cudnt just shoot her mouth cos she was the most educated in the grp, wanted to snub her in the face tt i was better than everything that she deemed she was good at.. guess what, i have achieved tt, and perhaps partly because of tt, she hardly shoots her mouth near me.. but jealousy never ends because there are always people better than me..i hate it when it turns for the worst n i truly become tt green-eyed monster but sometimes, dont u think u need an intense feeling like that to make you feel human?

Man.. in the entrance essay to SMU i wrote that i wanted to set up a halal food business to supply meat to restaurants and persuade them to turn halal.. well waddya know.. 1 yr down the road, the halal food business is booming! hmm not to be racist but im a bit turned off by the fact that its the chinese leading the pack in this supposedly Muslim/malay speciality.. esp the bit abt supplying food to the Haj pilgrims.. Arent there ANY muslim food companies at all!? after my 2nd tuition session, i already felt the fruits of my labor whipee! Last week when my tutee was like.. hi.. teach me P&C (one of my most terrible topics!) i have a test tomorrow on it.. how horrific! and i wasnt even prepared.. but lo n behold.. she got her results back today and she passed! (according to her its the first time she's passed Amaths) so HURRAH! a B grade even! and those that she got wrong were those tt she didnt pay enough attention to the qn.. so its her fault haha.. did Sets and simultaneous eqn today.. not too bad... She'd better remember what she learns!!

and amaths wasnt the ONLY thing i was teaching today! i was teaching my comms TA (honlyn u know who haha) malay! of all the crappiest of subjects and grades tt i have haha.. he mostly knows bahasa pasar so the grammar is all wrong haha... But once he improves his malay and I pick up more spanish, we'll be conversing with each other in english/malay/chinese/spanish! Talk abt multilingual! Could only offer a pathetic hasta manana and adios for now haha...
