Sometimes I wished I had one of those diseases that makes u emotionless.
Or be a pure economist, a rational decision maker that maximises utility solely on materialistic and intellectual benefits
or in more relatable pop culture version - to be Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory

trauma always leaves us scarred
it follows us home
it changes our lives
trauma messes everybody up
but maybe thats the point
all the pain and the fear and the crap
maybe going through all that keeps us going forward
it's what pushes us
maybe we have to get a little messed up
before we can step up

not one of the best episode perhaps
but still memorable for 2 reasons.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

omgosh! I am SO glad that my international finance class was basically a dud today. So I stayed home and caught KOREA V JAPAN world baseball classics finals

Awesome match! It had everything you could have asked for! Excitement from beginning to end! Hisashi Iwakuma (Top) had an incredible game. Even though he had 100 max pitches, he lasted all the way till the 8th inning!

Japan had a billion hits but only converted 3, which Korea caught up with in the final inning! kaoz. Was 'screaming' with joshua online. the boy was supporting korea and conveniently left the conversation when suzuki ichiro (middle/kakoiii yes honlyn?) batted to centre field for 2 runs batted in! And then Darvish Yu (bottom) closed the extra 10th inning for a fabulous win! woots!

seriously, how can i get into the business of sports events management!?

because after all, I'm thankful for what I have.
i loveee this foto :)

despite my phone being very bitchy today, for some reason, I felt like I was having a university life (how rare). From actually learning sth new in class to chilling out with friends, having project meetings (tt only lasted 1.5h thank god) and catching up with friends over lunch or on the way home.. :)

read an article in the straits times yest I think.. a visiting professor from overseas wrote 25 random things about singapore youths similar to those 25 random things u see on fb & it struck how true the observations were! For eg. 'they speak to me in soft-spoken proper english but turn around and scream at their friends in singlish' & 'they say how school is so study-oriented and then go back to studying' & 'they know they are apathetic and they express their apathy passionately' ... I like our quirks :)

experts are there for a reason no? but hot stocks always suck thereafter..

World Baseball Classic 2009!

(T) Ichiro Suzuki, Outfielder, 1st Japanese to play for MLB
(B) Hisashi Iwakuma, Starting Pitcher for the last couple of games I've seen for Japan

chanced upon the tournament on ESPN and its alot more interesting than MLB, mostly because there's more hits! and because when u watch online, u catch all the really silly american ads

Iwakuma's glove is damn pretty lah and they are how coolllll and pro! think baseball equivalent to federer... go japannn! :)
It hasnt been quite my blog lately with the no football talk, which technically prob only 1 person who reads my blog can relate to...

but let me revert back to old ways

*yay* captain cesc is back in training!
yay that eduardo and vela scored the prettiest of pretty goals today!

im sorry but this must be one of the most absurd piece of journalism to make it into our papers.

A link between gaming and violence
Online Activities: He played games from the multi-player online gaming site
What he did: 2 yrs ago, he met a 10-yr old at the gaming site and 8 mths later they had sex.

??????

Even without that case, shouldn't they understand the difference between causation and correlation?

Your personal style is a mix of 3 specific styles:

25% Classic
25% Nantucket Style

But lets just concentrate on Cottage Chic because I ADORE this room :)

Cottage Chic

Who says that cottages can't be modern and chic? Who says that they have to be floral and cheesy? Not you!

You love the carefree spirit that the cottage interior inspires, but you are also serious about your appreciation for modern art and hip treasures. You love old and new alike, and love to highlight them all to expose the uniqueness of each. What better way to show off these treasures than with a light background?

this has been bugging me a while

According to the The Probert Encyclopedia of Slang

SHACK

Shack is slang for a tramp.
Shack is slang for a small house or shop.
Shack is American slang for the brakeman or guard on a train.

SHAGGED

Shagged is slang for worn out, tired, exhausted.

ok fine
shacked out: exhausted or tired out from exertion.
according to a dictionary of singlish and singapore english online.

STILLLLL it annoys me whenever anyone spells it that way...
hmm im still not convinced.. im going to do a verbal poll... does anyone actually pronounces it as SHACK? this is consuming too much of my time..
