credit must be given to villareal who created 12 chances to arsenal's 2.. probably made me bite my nails till i had none left... and it didnt help that alvin was *screaming* goal on MSN every other minute making me even more edgy! and the F****R who dived... justice prevailed! sister called me just after the decision was made and i was THIS CLOSE to crying.. my eyes were starting to brim and flood and i was muttering ohmygoshohmygosh SO LOUD my dad woke up! until lehman our hero SAVED riquelme's penalty.. and i think at this moment together with the rest of the arsenal supporters worldwide must have known tt this would be the night Arsenal makes it through to the Finals of the Champions Leaguue. and indeed we did. as much as it was an awful match for us, and terrible football for a neutral, this is OUR moment and definietly a season to remember for its highest of highs and lowest of lows. at moments like this, i wished i owned an Arsenal jersey.. itll be a redcurrant/Arsenal-jersey wearing day tomorrow! FANTASTIC!

still, arsenal has a long way to go if they intend to beat either Milan or Barcelona. Heres to a good game tom night! and an even better one in the Finals!

i am forever indebted to u guys for sending me home at 5am in the morning from alex's house (bukit panjang)! yes its 520am now.. waiting for subuh before i knock out till probably 7pm later for meeting haha.. anyway, why am i still up at this god-forsaken hour.. i just watched AC Milan v Barcelona at Alex's house.. kept drifting in n out of sleep after the goal.. overall, it was a super exciting match with tonnes of chances..realised tt kaka is really cute haha and Milan was incredibly unlucky not to have scored! i was sure milan was gonna win.. but Barca came back and definitely showed their mettle. At this rate, I think Barca is unstoppable esp at Nou Camp.. interestingly, out of like mebbe 12 pple watching the match there, the majority were Arsenal fans haha.. (3) so we werent exactly bothered abt siding anyone cos both sides have their pros n cons if faced in the finals. But, Villareal will be a very tricky side.. Im actually nervous.. so thats a bad sign already. But then again, the media plays a self-fulfilling prophecy for arsenal.. so lets hope arsenal really does make it all the way. itll be a boost if fabregas will be fit for the match!

anyway, today was really fun.. n im totally looking forward to the week. Bought New Balance shoes for 30 bucks at their warehouse.. with sarah.. then met peiyan at bugis to shop right until 630pm where we met elizer whom we cabbed with to prof pang's house which is SUPER ulu. this is the uluest of ulu.. my goodness.. its worst than sarah's house! n then at 11pm, we went to Liquid kitchen until 1230am.. where we got chased out since they were closing.. by then we resorted toplaying stupid orientation games.. n were sitting beside the pavement playing magic squares cos the only squares ard were at the sewer! its damn hilarious.. ay getting really sleepy now.. Settlers cafe on thursday! cant wait!

and so it was.. secrets revealed.. interesting thoughts surfaced.. n mac has definitely won hands down in terms of whining n pining hahahaha.. ok and APPARENTLY myyy eyecandy is soooo wellknown it only takes 1 or 2 hints for people to know who it is.. yihan guessed from ONEEEE very broad hint.. wth! anyway, after 3 weeks of going cold turkey, i met him.. :) he hasnt forgotten me.. *yay* the world became bright again after that.. haha not to mention the v entertaining gossip session after... not a very good friday for my FA tho haha..

oh u know what makes great study music? foreign music! esp jay chou and other spanish/latin songs.. why? because i can enjoy the rhythm w/o being distracted by the words.. :) if i get too sick of spanish, i switch to jay chou.. if i get sick of him, i tune over to jap.. n then when i get really bored.. i listen to stupid pop oldies n boybands hahaha..

to mac.. tankew so much for enduring my insanity.. u shud thank me for enduring yrs too haha... cracking stupid gth jokes n doing frigging FA.. at the end of it all, u jump, i jump (off the admin building) ogah!? jeeez.. i hope this is the last time i endure andrew's gth imitations ahhaha.. for my dearest frens who dont know anything abt gth.. he is this prof who is soooo old he even taught the other profs in skl.. n he speaks with a funny accent.. instead of ok.. he goes ogeh? and acra become ah-kra.. but he's the best prof ive met so far so i actually enjoy FA.. to the extent of i dont hate it haha.. n i think i might actually enjoy accountancy.. after a billion headaches of doing the balance sheet, income statment n cash flows, its kinda satisfying to see it all work out.. although up to this point (2 days before exams) i have never in my life balanced a BS, worked out a proper IS and got the proper cash flow.. -die-

the cat has been ultra cute this week.. the first one is when he was sick.. so he wud sleep in any position u put him in.. i was beside him muggin FA boo.. the 2nd one is him making me stop studying FA mwaha.. and the last one was when the gang was over DOING the FA project.. teehee.. whts up with cat and FA!?! more FA to come.. tres dias hasta libertad! if my vocab n grammar isnt too awful, tts supposed to mean 3 days to freedom!!

I cant believe i wasted my night watching arsenal draw portsmouth.. i was like ooh pretty henry goal.. n yay now i can go to sleep knowing they will finish the job.. so i took a nap.. 20 mins later bloody freak 1-1... n i must say, campbell is far.. FARRRRRRRRRRR from his prime.. a senderos-djourou centreback pairing would have been FARRRRR more effective than this slow old guy.. i was worried of him coming back to the squad.. and i knewwww adebayor is frigging ineffective.. oh how many chances he squandered! well then, in the words of -mybloodyarsenal-, they dont deserve to take 4th place then if they cant even win agst these kampung teams.. but.. even tho with this terrible showing, i have to give credit to flamini.. the unsung hero of the defence.. the makeshift left back, the 7th guy in the season to start in tt position and oh how solid the defence was with him ard.. i dont know what will happen to u when cole comes back tho, u might oust abou diaby from his bench seat.. but then again, if cole does a campbell, I wonder if you will forever stick to being a left back..

anyway, comms results came out last night.. was in the middle of reading FA and lance broke the news arrkk.. at least i got the better of the 2 grades i was expecting.. hmm i reallly really reallly want a realllyyy reallly good GPA this term!! i should get off this lappy n go read my FA if i really meant tt haha..

anyway, helooo rachel! yes we must get together n watch all these lovely movies.. do you have casablanca by any chance? ANDD we MUST educate the boys... andy n mac have never seen pretty woman and my best friend's wedding..! tsktsk! i think i must have watched them at least 10 times each haha...

anyway, watched My Fair Lady.. LOVES IT! thanks so much jacinta for letting me borrow it! it really rocks.. its hilarious! i thought the guy, freddie who loves audrey hepburn was damn cute but he ended up being a loser.. too bad.. wud have been cooler if it were a real love triangle haha.. then tt wud be another casablanca.. the ending is quite hurh tho.. i think ill buy a copy too and add it to my oldies collection next to The King and I.. these 2 are a MUST WATCH.. hoping to find Casablanca next.. breakfast at tiffany's was more irritating than anything else haha.. what else is there? i cant wait for the exams to end.. and ill go buy my season 5 & 6 of gilmore girls, finally catch up with my oc and go buy the police academy dvds that ive finally found of all places at Giant opp my house hehe.. just 9 more daysss!!!

i finally found the time to read through my stats midterms and i found about 15marks worth of careless mistakes.. SHITSHITSHIT!!! and now my stupid stats grade is in a precarious position because i was an idiot to attempt the hard qns and not check the easier qns instead.. oh im so dead for finals...

moving on to happier news
Arsenal made it through to the semi-finals stage of the Champions League.
Congratulations are in order since they have never reached this stage before!!
I got mini heart attacks whenever Juventus took a shot but haha sleep got the better of me.. so i ended up sleeping past the 40th minute.. well, it ended up as a goalless draw so ya..
anyway, Arsenal meets Villareal in 2 weeks time.. yet another spanish opponent and an underdog... tricky tricky. If they get past villareal, its between AC milan or Barcelona.. wouldnt it be heartbreaking for AC Milan if Arsenal pulled a Liverpool on them? But it would football at its finest and i will be somewhere outside with friends if Arsenal were to meet Barcelona in the finals.. after all, exams would have ended by then! :)

and i have finally gone wireless.. no stupid modems attached to my laptop at home anymore.. -happiness-

so thats how life has been these couple of weeks.

2 solid days for Comms project with 3 hrs sleep between in Wk 11
my sundays for LTB
my weekends and nights for skl opening
there was simply NO room to breathe in week 13..
friday: skl opening
sat + sun: chiong ltb for mondays presentation
tues: chiong FA for wed's presentation
thurs: Chiong FA for Friday's quiz
sun: chiong FA for Mondays 5pm deadline with ONE hour of sleep (10am-5pm)
tues: chiong stats hw for 7pm deadline.




anyway, the treasure chest picture is our end product for FA.. :) can we believe we made it from scratch n only started our project proper at 1030am sunday. the project was supposed to be to report on a company's annual report n we being people who heard abt how the pioneer batch made a script out of the report, we decided to package our report into some kind of pirate recommendation letter stuck in a treasure box.. ironically, our company had nothing to do with pirates.. its all abt packaging haha.. the inside looks tonnes better.. with really pretty purple/gold cloth and chocolate gold coins with our report printed on yellow paper ie gold. we actually wanted to print on white paper, burn the edges and paste on crumpled brown paper to create an olden letter effect but haha we only finalised the report at say.. 4.50pm where we laser printed using andrew's printer that he so kind heartedly lugged to school.. anyway, the 'chest' is actually made from my skecher shoes shoebox haha cardboard, newspaper, paper mache and spray painted brown n black.. kudos to the whole crew (alex, andrew, marie & louisa) for all the effort.. looks fabulous and in the words of other groups.. 'u all spoil market only!!!' how andrew slaved over trying to dry the wet paper mache lump using the fan n hairdryer.. n how louisa painstakingly cut, crumple and iron the brown paper which we ended up just using 2 pieces of.. n the box surgery alex had to carry out to insert implants (newspaper) to enhance the box.. n marie who ran out with me at 330am to 7-11 to buy food for the sleepy n hungry troopers.. just think man.. andrew left my house at 330am!! and alex left at 445am! n he went to relief teach after that! marie n louisa ended up sleeping over till i had to oust them out of the house at 730am cos i left for skl with parents.. which i CONTINUED TO SLAVE OVER THE REPORT till 12pm where i had the fastest 10 dollar meal in my life haha.. we ordered in sakae sushi.. yum! man how i needed a break.. so left the crew who came at 1230pm to settle the appendix n remaining report while i trooped to glenn wharton's office at 3pm with grace n bingkai..

hehe glenn wharton is the head of Comms in SMU n THE guy u go to for anything spanish/latin related.. talked abt BSM argentina n he asked me if i knew spanish (in spanish 'habla espanyol?') i said no.. haha damn shud have replied.. hablo un poco espanyol (a little) anyway, he was wondering how i understood him then... think he was happy to know tt someone was taking so much interest in spain.. should have told him i love it for the soccer too.. wonder if i'll actually get to go to argentina.. itll be so cool.. n somewhere id never expect id end up in.. like sya n russia :P

anyway yea.. tt only took a while so got back to the group where we continued to slave on the report right until 5pm.. where we obviously had to run off to hand in.. i was taking care of all the barang2 so the rest met prof who was amused by our box.. n didnt really know what to do with it haha.. at least he said he was impressed.. :D yay.. maybe he can use the box somehow. but woooh.. tt was intense.. 30 solid hours of living, breathing, eating FA.. insane!!!!!!! n i thought comms was the most intense it cud get.. gosh.. my favourite word of the day is probably concuss... cos i met my mom at 6pm and concussed in the car right until we got home and on till 8pm? then ATTEMPTED some stats where i concussed on the comp till 5am! omg can u believe i was doing stats at 5 freaking am! smu is crazeeee... but u know what.. i had loads of funn.. making nonsense art pieces like tt is insanely fun! i love getting all creative making useless things.. :P alot better than 5 solid hours of doing stats hw!!! my arm is still aching from writing all the answers!! today was quite a waste of my life.. haha.. but ended up the day with a visit to zara which is always a happy one.. where i found pretty camouflage shoes for 75 bucks.. its on my set-aside-if-its-fate-tt-i-buy-them-they-will-be-there-the-next-time-im-back list.. haha..
