dad n i finally went about to buying WII.. damn challenger has a ten dollar markup in all their products in comparison to other shops!

& after some trial & error in starting up the system, we spent abt 2hrs playing ard with wii sports. let me reiterate that BOXING is DAMN tiring. I was playing against my sister and we had 3 rounds of majorly intense all out boxing that led to each other getting floored a couple of times before I lost steam and was KO-ed. By the end, we were seriously sweating and out of breath! haha

well, thats the game to exercise with. tennis is the more leisurely game that we have. and im dying to get mario kart. does anyone know where I can get them cheap?

Its the 3rd day that SSC has opened but I've just stepped into it. I left the place feeling kinda scared & mixedup.
1. At the insane number of people who were there..
ok well its xmas eve and i guess lots of pple dont work? anyone who knows me well, knows that i hate crowds. I get mightily pissed off and tired easily in such situations and I am right now on the verge of being pissed off that my nice oasis of a neighborhood is destroyed by this materialistic money making machine. its insane how its like a hive and everyones just swarming all over.. it just didnt feel like my neighborhood :(

2. At the no. of decent shops there are.
Seriously, all you need is Zara and Mango there and I think I will never need to go to town ever again. There's challenger, HEI sushi (woohoo!), GIANT, fish&co, dano, newyorknewyork and omg i think they are having some kind of mini water park on the top!? sth called a splash park? THAT is freaky.


The only thing that stays constant is change they say. I've stayed here for the past 20 years of my life & I have truly seen my neighborhood change. I don't think SSC was even there when I was a baby! I remember we did all our shopping at Thomson Plaza. I like my home. I love that its so quiet yet convenient and 1 really long road away from thomson supper places or town. And then the flats at sembawang went up. and then the swami home went up. then the condo beside went up. Let's just say I enjoy my privacy and quiet time. But with all these developments, I am sadly losing it all. I am probably going to stop getting the sun on my porch in the mornings because SSC is mother effing huge now & blocking it. I hate that the freaking condos are built so close to my house that they can actually SEE into my house. I hate that they built everything so high that it blocks my view of pretty skies and the entire feeling of space. I get so choked up when there are too many tall buildings around. and it doesnt help that tall buildings stop breezes and make the entire neighborhood simply hotter.

In France, I was chatting with Hana, and she said she loved Paris because she's a city chick and she cant stand being in such a slow environment. I said I loved Valencia because it was a good sized city that has a wonderful mix of suburbia and town life. Huge parks and easy beach access with endless spacious skies to spare. Yet I could walk to the heart of town where I can buy all the cheap zara clothes i want haha. This is the same thing, I am the Queen of convenience (not to be mistaken for the band King of Convenience). I don't do anything unless its convenient for me. Maybe my Micro prof will be proud because he says Economists only do whatevers efficient to them. I appreciate the fact that now there is a pretty awesome place within a 5 min walk away but I hate the crowds it bring. I just hope its not this crowded ALL the time. damn i can still remember the time i cud just walk out to buy groceries there in my pjays and no one wud care.
sigh.

YAY tv addicts anonymous had a meeting today.. with a successful outing of 8 episodes of Gilmore Girls Season 1 straight! hmm tt sounds so little.. well hopefully it will be continued after 50% of the clubs' exams ends. Note: Club size = 2 but welcomes more. My favorite scene was when dean totally told off tristan during the formal. defending rory's honour like that... woooshh.. pure hotness! but for some reason, I'm totally loving tristan this time around. Note: this is only my 2nd time rewatching my entire dvd box.

On an entirely different note, wtf! An exchange friend mistook my nationality. wowee.. well, she got the right continent??

a moth came a-visiting.

there's this saying, that you will get an unexpected visitor when a moth appears in yr home.. it actually happened a couple of times already! today, hana & honlyn came. I like getting such surprises. I wished more friends lived nearer, its so much easier to just meetup and chill. and thats what we did today. because sg is seriously too boring.. I need my own bike.. then we can ride to sembawang beach and have some kinda of decent fun.

on other fronts. pple always ask abt the existence of any significant other.. it doesnt help that a cousin my sisters age just gave birth. seriously man, how hard is it to get a decent guy in this country? I am pretty certain I will tell you at the end of my lifetime that it is very hard. :) & then I ponder.. its so difficult to find a decent mat in this country.. but i just realised sth, if i head just slightly further north or even south. im in mat country. haha. I'm just living in the twilight zone.

all days shd be like today

i need to be a happy person. because happy pple make other pple happy and I like to feel happy. like duh. There are just some people who are genuinely happy people all the time and it just makes them glowww. I want to glow like that. But sadly, I'm not an original glower. I glow when other people glow. ok im rambling but I had a fulfilling glow-filled day from start to end so I'm very thankful for that.

it doesn't hurt that I also found out that I aced APPLIED ECONOMETRICS! HAHA! well ok its the only A im expecting this semester but it feels good to ace a renowned challenging subject! it even sounds cheem if nothing else wahahha..

oh yes and also because i just realised, im 3!! (4 maybe) degrees of separation from the owner of inditex. FREAK! yknow ive always dreamt of meeting the son to the heir.. who knew reality wud come in the form of a fren whose bf is nephew to the owner!!! that girl made my hyperventilate in the middle of zara!

Although I was shivering like shit in Paris and cursing the bloody hail and rain, with a good winter jacket and scarf, makes everything right! When you're cold, u can run around to make yrself warm, cozy up agst someone hehe and have a good warm hot cup of cocoa (which I was surprised to find cools down REALLY fast in winter) but when ure hot, all u wanna do is run into air conditioning which is baddd... bad for the skin.. bad for the bills. why cant we be further away from the equator dammit!
