I'm super sleepy now despite sleeping concussing for 10hrs last night
2hrs until this class ends and off home to write a report due tomorrow 2pm.
not to mention class at 830am

oh yes. n can i say.. one of my project groups is turning out to be EERILY similar to my ltb grp dynamics. which was quite a killer & often gave me headaches.
besides me theres
the one who talks alot but doesnt really know what its all about & talks so fast it gives me a headache.
theres the stressed up one who finds it harder to deal with the rest.
the carefree one who tries to set everything right.
the one who doesnt really care and goes with the flow.
and finally, the one who went MIA.

well lets just hope it means I'll get the same grade as before. haha

Valencia Grand Prix weee!!!

Sigh.. the videos of the city bring back such fond memories. That's the picture of the circuit which I'm still trying to figure exactly where it is.. I suspect that I pass it all the time when I cycle to the beach but its blocked by big unknown things. ohs wells. On the top right hand corner I circled in peenk my APARTMENT!!! woots! everytime they showed the iconic Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, I see my apartment block where i LIVED for 5months!! sighh!!! ANNDDD after the prize ceremony, I wondered why there were no fireworks and lo & behold THERE THEY WERE!!! ay.. its not valencia if u dont end things off with a bang.. literally. :)

i feel stressed. i know its only week 1 of school. but i think i oversigned up for things. I just enrolled myself in another 2 extra classes and I'm very scared... A typical week for the next 3 weeks

:S have i mentioned im scared?

I wished everyday was like today. Treated to ice cream at Raffles Creamery @ Raffles Hotel by Dzarrin & Asilah. Treated to Dessert & drinks by Ching @ Treehouse. Treated to sidedishes by Beth @ Treehouse. Treated to tehpeng by Joshua. I didnt even have to walk anywhere. And to the add to the icing, today's CCA day was the most successful one yet for softball. I feel like a proud founding father, shedding a tear in happiness.About 60 pple came to sign up on their own accord w/o any coercion. And half of them (boys and girls) have had prior experience. add 2 more national guy players and 2 girl pitchers and 1 girl catcher. i cud weep in pride right now. And the exco didnt have to do anything.. I'm a tad angry because they never went through our pain but I'm very glad that the club is progressing well and my wish is only that with every batch, the team begins to grow in numbers and quality and that each batch remember that thoroughly so that our efforts do not end up in vain.

does it make me weird that i look forward to work than i do to school?
perhaps im ready for the next step.
heading into corp finance tomorrow with all my Finance 101 knowledge out the door and knowing absolutely no one in the class.. Pray for me.

update: ok the prof isnt the typical snooty financial type i expected. phew. y didnt i say i missed being able to speak spanish everywhere i go as my interesting point. instead i said i play softball. how boringg.. at least i made the class laugh when i mentioned the max no. of hrs in class in spain is 2hrs :)

yay for online streaming tt allows me to watch my newly-adopted club take on Real Madrid. Its quite odd though that there are so many la seleccion members playing for diff sides. I've always expressed my disaste for American commentary because they think its a bloody basketball match with goals every other min. but i must say, this time around its not bad, helped me actually figure all the change in tactics with good discussion. albeit the sound lag. I always watch the goal a full 5s before someone screams - well id rather it tt way then the opp.

Valencia played pretty well despite going 1-0 down in the first half but Real did give them a lot of space to play. It's kinda like watching Arsenal play in a nicer league. Villa was marvellous as ever. you can just see he puts his heart and soul whenever he plays, so much respect for him! After the first 2 goals by vlc, they were dominating until Schuster threw in Robben and ramos tt turned things around. Interestingly, Emery had his own counter-tactic replacing the first goal scorer with Vicente, a more holding midfielder which resulted in the winner. AWESOME! there must be fireworks in Valencia tonight!

i had a brilliant plan.. to be able to catch odd houred football matches while reading up for classes which involves sleeping early (9-10) at night and waking up earlier (3-4am) but after 2 days of trying out that plan. im superlydeeduperly tired. half dazed during training - wee first time i touched my glove in 6mths! and my arm is aching now.. still deciding if i shd play for ora on sunday which wd mean having to reschedule meeting huifang..

in any case - YAY! we obtained core status! amaaazeeengggg! within a short period of 2 yrs. according to vince they were discussing budgets with the sports union treasurer and he said oh btw ure core. which meansssss MORE $$$ just how much $$? $5000 more!!wah! which means FREE JERSEYS! & New equipment!! No more CMI TK rejects! ayee.. feels like xmas came early haha. here's celebrating the continued success :)


oh yes. did anyone know tt there was an american sembawang spouses association? i was like HUH when my boss first told me.. and apparently its all the marines wives who live there haha.. n i told my boss i always watch the 4th of july fireworks from my house and she says REALLY? she always gets invited to the bloody event itself to watch it! oh yes. thats because she works for the american chamber of commerce, n tts where ill be spending my free timee for fun and laughter.. It should be quite fun considering all the employees are rather hilarious & speak at 100words/minute and brief me with so much content at the same speed that it takes me a while for everything to sink in. on the bright side, its right next to Lido. woots i feel like shopping EVERYDAY! altho intl brands at sg prices is really painful!

take me back to exactly when the picture was taken pls. Met up with Yasmin last night, the girl who is going to VLC in a matter of days. evoked memories that led me to look through all my fotos again while playing the songs that remind me of those 6mths. I realise I have ALOT of photos of valencia. Its true what Emily says, even though when I was there I could feel like crap half the time because I was bored, I dont seem to recall it being that way. Every minute spent in Spain itself is sth I appreciate and can never take back and do not regret. I think friends put up alot of pictures of their travels all over europe. In contrast, I have alot of pictures of having fun with friends in valencia itself and I really really think they are very sweet memories that trumps looking at another cathedral and living a nomadic lifestyle haha. No regrets. :)

its a semiodd feeling how we all just came back and they are already flying off while we prepare for sch next week! crazyyyyyy!! too short!! today probably marks the last summer of my LIFE because i start work tomorrow. i have no idea what i got myself into signing up for a part time internship. i hope its tonnes fun! to make up for the fact ive gotta wear formal almost everyday! and my crazy applied econometrics prof has sent us an email wrt reading material for class and instructions for some weird computer prog tt we need to learn.. DIE + spanish + softball.. I hope I have enough time to breathe!

i had a plan.. it consisted of breathing time during european football hour.. but major scares in the last 5mins of reading soccernews! manu bidded for silva! EW NOOOOOOOO!!! but thankgod they rejected the bid! realmadrid bidded for villa! slightly better but still, VAMOS VLCFC! i think tt was also rejected. worst news of all, fabregas + toure are out injured for the champions league qualifiers.. JIALAT LAH. no need to watch liao. the midfielders average age is simply infantile! i guess i have to switch to the la liga this season!

because im a girl.& i enjoy things that are meant to be enjoyed.. sigh... why DIDNT i ever meet them in valencia?
the davids of valencia are just soooo adorable! apparently silva (left) has an asian mom, no WONDER he looks like a Jap artiste! notably like takeshi hideshiro(?) - (em the one from tt show u reccommended) & he is my ageee.. gosh.. im THIS close to feeling old.. because all the up&comers are MY age.. shucks I always get so inspired by these athletes because they achieve so much n they know what they want at their age.. the ONLY one who is younger than me, is fabregas, by 10mths at least haha and he still has a special spot.. its just that, the davids & vlc hold special meaning.. sigh.

mahjong part 2

I didn't play the first time the softies came over on Sunday because they were playing money but I got a chance to satiate my itchy fingers because after dinner/supper with joshua/ching at adam road, we kidnapped claire back home to make sure we had 4 pple for mahjong LOL. so we played the night/morning away from 1am? till 430! and we only completed 2 winds hahaha.. jialats. best of all, i WONNN woohoo! 7.60 worth of profit! with a base of 10cents! im still amazed whenever i win, but its prob because we had 2 sleepyheads playing. haha in any case, it was too late for me to sleep, so I sent sis to the station, and proceeded to bake a banana cake andd make spanish tortilla for breakfast! before claire woke up needing to be sent halfway home as promised by the kidnapper.
had breakfast with grace n yvonne before sending back the mahjong set & THEN whisked yvonne away to sembawang beach on a whim. its MOTHER humid. hateHATE the weather..GRRR. but love the swings as always! n its been eons since ive last visited the park. ahh.. to be young and have time for spontaneity. hmm didnt last long tho.. in search of AIRCON! wahha.. n so ive finally concussed n woken up at the time im supposed to pick up a spanish girl at the airport.. woops. but its NOT my fault. the buddy referral org only emailed me LAST NIGHT at 9pm abt picking her up today at 5pm. and i only read the mail this morning at 1am. im sure she's fine with basic english to get by.. hehe.. haiz no valencianos in smu this term. so sad.
but its ok.. i shall look forward to more nuaness with the softies.. what wd i do w/o them?
