my kakiwaki is back!

tts what i call my elder sister.. she's back from europe! :D with goodies... its nice to have her back.. spent the rest of the day telling stories from the past 2 weeks.. gossiping.. doing what sisters do.. miss her! but do not miss her hogging my laptop.. finally get a chance to use it now while she snores away ehehe.. but i have to be nice.. she bought me stuff!

lookiee.. champs league scarf!.. and my cheaper ZARA shoes and a necklace from barca too.. hmm it seems all my presents are only from barca.. she says its the best shopping destination out of all the places she went anyway :)

and also managed to visit FC Barca.. but only the outside.. it looks rundown from the outside btw.. AND she walked by the uni right beside the stadium which we assume is ESADE.. the 2nd pic is supposed to be some road opp the uni which i will dream of doing my exchange in... she says its nice n peaceful at tt part of town.. splendid!

Meanwhile, daddy seems to trust me with the car more often these days.. :) drove to safra for tennis.. n poor honnyy sprained her ankle.. aiyoo.. ended up sending her home... heh take care of yrself.. and buy me lots of stuff when ure in turkey :)

ack.. so many entries in a span of a few days.. but i cant help it.. this is football news..
dont think many of my frens read my football entries but heck.. for my own happiness

the champs league n premiership only just concluded and transfer news is buzzing already.. how exciting! and its not often tt wenger buys many at one go but i have a feeling, with good money tt came in from champs league, we will have lotsa cash to play with n play with it we will!

so the first signing is Tomas Rosicky, Czech MIDFIELDER.. yes all gooner fans.. lets sigh once again at Monsieur Wenger buying yet another midfielder. before this was diaby, before tt was hleb.. aiyaiyai.. but Wenger has a knack of developing players into sth more.. and he must believe tt midfielders are the most flexible and versatile bunch of pple ever.. because he successfully transformed Toure into the commanding fullback we now admire him for, Flamini into the best left back we've had since Clichy/Cole.. and mind u, henry was transformed too into the striker he is today.

so, according to media reports, rosicky is a typical wenger buy... and is noted for his run throughs.. perfect.. with pires 99% off to villareal and ljungberg losing speed, he will be the perfect sub for arsenal's classic runs.. I'll bet he'll be transformed into a winger, taking over pires' role. hleb and fabregas will offer attacking midfield roles.. while diaby and gilberto take the defensive. so, Monsieur WEnger.. u have no more space to buy anymore midfielders!

what is this i hear.. arsenal wants to use the 12m clause on michael owens contract??? hmmmm.. i think owen's overrated but i guess, wenger has a need for speed.. put henry, walcott and owen, in front of persie n reyes.. wooh.. ull outrun any defence.. i still think owen is too english for Arsenal.. :) charis shall be converted into an arsenal fan if it happens tho hehe..

Chelsea should go rot for trying too hard to manufacture a team to win the champs league. It IS scary to have ballack playing in blue but if shevy makes the move too, itll be mayhem.. altho i think shevy shud either stay where he is or move to another club in some quiet deal which im inclined to believe.

All in all, after one spanish lesson, I essentially learnt a pickup line hahaha... it seems tt im paying good money to practice i guess.. Was looking through the whole course guide and it seems tt ive learnt it all myself with this really really good book i used previously.. Well, practice makes perfect so ill make full use of it and at the very least i can make polite conversation after this. plus all i could do was read basic stuff but cant string a sentence so yeaa.. n hee when he was trying to teach how to pronounce a certain g, he used gente.. and i was ehhh tts the word on sarahs blog.. n its KHEN-TE.. haha

the class is made up with quite a few amusing people.. theres a girl who just graduated from rj.. no wonder she looked familiar.. theres this really funny woman who owns her own furniture shop and says she wants to pick up spanish so she can eavesdrop on her customers haha.. n theres this fella who obviously needs phonetics classes haha ok sorry evil.. n one guy who is picking the language cos his wife is spanish.. n another guy who is learning it to talk to his dad in spanish.. he looks completely south american but the funniest part of all was when guy who needs phonetics started discussing with him some stuff really loudly.. in MANDARIN!! the whole class just stopped, stared n laughedd... n the teacher even mistook his name as durian! when its supposed to be dorian or sth.. poor dude..

altho we learnt so little, cos we kept practising the same thing over n over again to make sure we get it in our heads, i was having a terrible headache!!! bleah! ooh n the teacher was just testing water trying to see if we knew any other spanish words.. n i just HAD to mutter 'encontada de conocerte' cos i cudnt think of anything else.. wanted to say zapatoes.. but he was pointing to his shoes before tt, so i assumed tt was what the previous guy said.. doesnt zapatoes sound cute? somehow reminds me of GEpetto though.. anyway baH! they must think im showing off or sth.. n he was like ohh this is advanced alreadyy.. so now pple think im cheem when actually I learnt the phrase straight from Sofia and Juan, the spanish couple i met in Turkey! anyway, ive concluded that my listening skills suckkkk.. i cannot hear... i mean even in english i ask people to repeat themselves.. but reading spanish is fun! and then i come home to more chinese drama which is fun to hear n then i see the subtitles n i try to guess how they will say it in mandarin! so wu liao hahaha.. mebbe ill go take basic mandarin too to get certified :) n practise the writing that ive so lost long time ago!!! so fun so fun!!!

Pre match jitters

I understand why sarah doesnt watch the build-up to the match.. i was fine before this but my heart is pounding now.. anyway, it seems fabregas is the main playmaker, so itll be so easy to clam on the attack.. i found myself nodding vigorously at what dykes n co had to say.. tt fabregas was essentially THE player for arsenal this champs league followed by toure... lets hope for a good final!!!

for 70minutes we believed that we were gonna win it. we were gonna win that prestigious cup.. and then.. Wenger decided to play it 'safe' or greek-like rather and defend taking fabregas out for flamini.. dude.. that must have been the biggest mistake EVER!!!!! once i saw 15 in red i muttered, we dont deserve to win with this lineup.. and truth be told.. gahh.. everything happened so fast... n the 2nd goal was.... WHATTTT IT WENT IN!?!?!?!?!? bad choices and didnt take full use of the opportunities.. its just a pity that we didnt get to see 11 on 11.. level playing field with no dives n no time wasting..



BUT arsenal played WONDERFUL for 10 men esp agst Barcelona. I give all credit to them for shutting out ronaldinho, deco and eto'o for 90% of the match. Ljungberg, Fab & Henry worked well tog threatening the defence... Cole did superbly agst the crazily fast n agile giuly! Campbell overcame all odds to prove to me tt he isnt all out of it.. and everyone played as a team, a unit.. Fabulous effort!!! :) and ill still wear the badge proud! No looking back. The best is yet to come!



but as Puyol is handed the Champs League Cup, there is no bitterness, no tears...

I don't understand 99% of it but its good material to practice my spanish skills on once i pick it up! whats more, Hans, the guy whom i cant figure where he comes from cos he keeps changing accents from european to malay to dunno what just called to confirm spanish lessons start this week! yayeee.. a gloriously spanish start to the week with ZARA purchases in Barcelona and Barcelonian news & entertainment not to mention the Barcelona F1 Grand Prix! just sent my sis off to the airport.. plane prob just took off abt 15 mins ago.. hope she has the best time of her life. its not like im never gonna see her again but i dunno why, i really am gonna miss her. i confide in her the most although still not everything. she's the one who knows me inside out and i cant imagine life w/o her. i realise im no good with telling pple how i really feel.. makes me feel kinda cheesy.. but she shud know tt ill get very lonely.

holiday was short.. spent mostly on food.. but had good silly company.. bunking with 7 other people in 1 service apartment is pretty fun.. :) i think altho we were in some out of nowhere place, having all of us tog cooking in the kitchen, playing asshole daidee late into the night would have been more enjoyable than separate hotel rooms! i think it was damn obvious we had more than the max of 4 pple in tt room.. for one, there were 8 toothbrushes lying on sink.. but well the place fit us just nicely cos there was a queen sized bed, 2 singles, n a night later we realised we had a pull out couch.. heh and in tt out of place apartment, we managed to meet up with a mediacorp artiste hahaha.. talk abt good timing..

thot 4 girls 4 guys was just nice cos u wud have enough girls to go shopping with and get 2nd opinions on stuff, n backup when u need to bully the guys.. poor jing n grace kept getting bullied the whole time! while the guys go have their foot massages tog n then carry our stuff for us.. :D but if theres ever a next time, we need at least jayne! our KL expert to bring us ard so we can do some SERIOUS shopping.. :)

exercise for the week

being the great sister i am , helped my sis pack out of hostel today.. very tiring.. esp since she stays on the 7th floor.... ok fine the '1st' floor was actually the 3rd.. still.. after packing up the room, we had to bring down abt a billion items all the way down to the carpark.. mind u, we had clothes, books, misc, oven and tv to stuff into a car!
THAT was the backseat of the car after filling up the boot to the brim! we even dumped in a football air cushion seat thing.. if theres no space for it at home, ill dump it in the lkc room mwaha.. itll be hell trying to get it in skl tho..
but made up for it by having a really filling lunch.. the hugest chicken bento set in history... yanling, denise! lets go for sushi again.. im missing wasabe.. haha..anyway, the penultimate accolade is when your sister trusts u with the car and directions such that she sleeps while ure trying to race home before a certain time.. made it on the dot hehehe altho broke a couple of speed limits.. its seriously IMPOSSIBLE to drive within speed limits and get anywhere on time unless u leave the house like one hour in advance.. then whats the point??? as if sg is so big...

last day of 2nd round selections.. no major foto-whoring cos i was checking my grades and i went off halfway to find Prof for a grade review.. *pray i get a grade upgrade* sighsighsighsighsigh.. my GPA is more than i could ask for this term which im thankful for but i had to go screw up the single most important grade.. phooey
anyway, to the wonderful pple tt made even the draggiest of all days seem fun.. :)
with nicholas, my silly co-faci who id make him slave ard for me.. :) n qinlei the girl who i ought to get to know more of n xiayue, everyone's favourite chinaman!

Right side parking

woohooo.. i parked on my right for the 2nd time in history, n i did it perfectly within a minute!! *beams* i want to practice driving n parking MOREEEE... it doesnt help tt my house doesnt need vertical or parallel parking to park the car.. at this rate, how will dad ever let me use the car??

anyway, i just found out tt my primary schoolmate, commonly known as hafiz glamour was featured on anugerah skrin today! looked a bit different.. but too bad he got stuck with a lousy girl cohost.. n got eliminated.. oh well, give him credit for getting this far... hehe if he had made it big, i cud have blackmailed him with some old stories.. lol

ayy.. im actually busy for the next 2 weeks.. n no its not workin.. its spending money.. phooeeyy my acc balance is depleting like nobodys business.. someone HIRE MEEE! we ought to be given allowance for the selections... its like those on work study grant helping out during admissions! 10 an hour would suffice.. hehehee..
